This is Liu Wen’s 6th ad campaign for the season. She is in ck one, Benetton, DKNY Jeans, DvF, Barneys New York, and now Converse by John Varvatos. Coupled with her 73 appearances on the runways of NY, London, Milan and Paris this season, Liu Wen is the undisputed queen of the season.
Incidentally, Converse was an inexpensive sneaker/shoe brand that was popular way back in the late-1970s to early-1980’s. A couple seasons ago, Converse retained John Varvatos, a NY-based men’s wear designer, to create a premium clothing line for the brand. Now the collection is available at top departmental stores across the country selling at price tags reaching the mid-hundreds.
