Tao Okamoto was one of the first models I noticed when I started this blog about 2 years ago. She was a staple on the New York & London Fashion Week until the Chinese and Korean models invaded the runways. She has since disappeared from the spotlight until I found this editorial of her in the Japanese avant garde magazine, Commons&Sense, Issue #34 (Spring/Summer 2008). I’m so glad to see her back on the pages of fashion again.
Her most notable work has been in the ad campaigns for Anne Fontaine (Spring/Summer 2007) and Moschino (Fall 2007/Winter 2008). She has also appeared in Teen Vogue (April 2007) and New York Times’ T Magazine (August 2007) in the US.
